How do I connect eTapestry?

An eTapestry database administrator must enable API access.

  1. Open Apps in Filament and add eTapestry.
  2. In eTapestry, go to Management → My Organization → Subscriptions and enable the API Subscription.
  3. Copy the API Key and Database ID into Filament.
  4. Add any useful context about your funds, campaigns and custom fields, then complete setup.

If the API Subscription is unavailable, contact your eTapestry account manager.

How far back does Filament sync eTapestry data?

We sync every account and journal entry in your eTapestry database on the initial backfill. After that, syncs run every 6 hours and only pull records changed since the last run using eTapestry's modified or created date watermark. There is no rolling window or hard date cap.

Can I connect multiple eTapestry accounts to Filament?

Yes, Filament analyzes your eTapestry gift history to identify retention trends, calculate donor lifespan, spot lapsing patterns, and segment donors by giving frequency. You can ask about retention rates by acquisition source, time between gifts, or any other donor attribute.

How does Filament handle recurring gift schedules and pledge tracking?

Filament syncs your recurring gift schedules with frequency, next payment dates, and total amounts received, plus pledge commitments with payment applications and outstanding balances. This lets you forecast expected revenue, track fulfillment rates, and identify at-risk recurring donors.

Which eTapestry KPIs can I track?

Fundraising income: total recorded gifts by fund, campaign or approach, keeping payments, pledges and soft credits distinct. Donor retention: prior-period donors who give again divided by all prior-period donors. Pledge fulfilment: payments applied to pledges divided by their pledged amount.
