Bring your Salesforce data into Filament. Create dashboards, build reports and explore your questions in plain English.
Your Salesforce data, connected.
Salesforce tracks your pipeline and customer relationships, but understanding which marketing channels drive your best deals or how support cases affect renewal rates requires connecting to ad platforms, analytics tools, and payment data.
Filament links your Salesforce accounts, opportunities, and campaigns to the rest of your business intelligence stack and answers questions about attribution, pipeline velocity, and customer lifetime value in plain English.

Your questions, answered.
How do I connect Salesforce?
This connection uses Fivetran.
You need Salesforce Enterprise or higher, or a plan with purchased API access. Use a Salesforce user with permission to read the objects and fields you want to sync. An administrator must approve the initial app connection.
These steps use the standard OAuth connection. One Salesforce login can authorise up to four connections to this app; authorising a fifth can revoke the oldest connection.
Prepare the Salesforce user
- In Setup → Permission Sets, create or edit a permission set for the connecting user.
- Enable Approve Uninstalled Connected Apps, or Use Any API Client if your organisation uses API Access Control. Save, then use Manage Assignments → Add Assignments to assign it to the user.
- In the user’s object settings, grant read access to the standard objects, custom objects and fields you want. Read follows record-sharing rules; View All also exposes records outside those rules. Enable View Setup and Configuration so the connection can check API limits.
You can remove the app-approval permission once the connection is successfully syncing.
Check restricted access
If your organisation restricts login IPs, obtain the current replication addresses for your warehouse region from Filament. Add them in Setup → Network Access and, where restricted, Profiles → the connecting user’s profile → Login IP Ranges. OAuth also requires these ranges:
| Start | End |
|---|---|
34.85.252.27 |
34.85.252.27 |
35.197.105.90 |
35.197.105.90 |
136.107.62.136 |
136.107.62.143 |
136.118.115.24 |
136.118.115.31 |
If session IP locking is enabled, have your Salesforce administrator review Setup → Session Settings → Lock sessions to the IP address from which they originated. The connection requires this setting to be off; otherwise it can fail with INVALID_SESSION_ID.
Connect in Filament
- Open Apps in Filament and add Salesforce for your production organisation.
- Choose OAuth2.0, select Authorize and sign in as the prepared user. Approve the requested access.
- Review any displayed destination-naming and API-usage options before the first sync. Keep formula-field syncing off unless you specifically need those source values; they do not reliably capture every recalculation.
- Select Save & Test, then return to Filament and complete setup.
For field-change history, enable it before collecting changes: in Salesforce Setup → Object Manager, open the relevant object, then Fields & Relationships → Set History Tracking. Enable tracking, select the fields and save.
How far back does Filament sync Salesforce data?
Filament syncs your complete Salesforce history from day one. This includes all accounts, contacts, leads, opportunities, cases, and campaign data, so you can analyze year-over-year trends and long-term customer patterns without limitations.
Can I connect multiple Salesforce accounts to Filament?
Yes. Connect multiple Salesforce orgs to analyze data across different business units, regional offices, or client accounts. This is particularly useful for agencies managing several clients or companies with separate production and sandbox environments.
Does Filament track which marketing campaigns drive closed deals?
Yes. Filament connects Campaign, CampaignMember, Lead, and Opportunity data so you can trace which campaigns generate not just leads, but actual revenue. Combine this with ad platform data to see complete attribution from first click to closed deal.
How often does Filament update Salesforce data?
Filament syncs Salesforce data continuously throughout the day, so your dashboards and answers reflect recent pipeline changes, new leads, and updated opportunity stages. You see current data without manual refreshes or exports.
Which Salesforce KPIs can I track?
Open pipeline: total amount on open opportunities by stage or owner. Win rate: won opportunities divided by won plus lost opportunities. Sales cycle: time from opportunity creation to close. Use a consistent closed-date period and keep currencies separate.
